Peter Su is an aspiring startup musician. As a songwriter and performer, his goal is to make music that makes your heart sing, while approaching it with an entrepreneurial attitude - following his own muse and not being afraid of experimenting with new music or business models.

He was born and raised in the Silicon Valley, where he first picked up the guitar at age 15. At 16, when his dad asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said, "I want to be a rock star." Instead for the next few years he became a closet musician, keeping his music mostly to himself as he studied at UC Berkeley and later worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and a venture capitalist on Sand Hill.

He's a bit older and wiser now, but still young and crazy. Based in San Francisco, you can catch him online at www.youtube.com/petersumusic or around at local Bay Area venues.

Rules

Contest is open to everyone anywhere!
You can sing, rap, play instruments, remix the song. Just have fun with the music!

1) To be eligible, you need to like Peter Su's Facebook page - www.facebook.com/petersumusic.

2) Your video must be titled Peter Su - Facebook Game Cover Contest (Your Name).

3) In your video entry, it must say in the beginning "This is (your name)'s entry into the Peter Su Cover Contest on Covermix.com."

Contest submissions must be received by the contest deadline of February 13th, 2012 11:59PM PST, and winners will be announced exactly seven days from that date. Contest deadline may be extended until no later than February 15th, 2012.

FAQ

1) Winners will be determined by Peter. However, position on the leaderboard and votes will heavily influence his decision.

2) Contest ends Feburary 13th, 2012. Entries will be accepted until 11:59pm on Feburary 13th, 2012.

3) If a group covers a song, only 1 person will be able to have lunch with Peter. For example, if your group is 5, 10, or 100 people, only 1 person will be eligible.

4) For video collaborations with the 1st place winner, if you are not in the Bay Area, the collaboration may be done remotely (i.e. sending tracks/videos to each other).

5) For the Runner Up, if they are not in the Bay Area, instead of lunch with Peter they will have the chance to do a remote video collaboration with Peter.

6) Peter Su and Covermix reserve the right to accept or deny any contest entries at their discretion.

4		brand0nized Brandon Li is a 16 year old guy from San Francisco, CA . His YouTube username is brand0nized. I'm a musician and starting-out audio engineer. I love to play my guitar and to write songs. I learn about audio engineering and music theory online and in books in my spare time, writing lyrics whenever they pop up in my mind. I'm a junior at Balboa High School in San Francisco. I work after school at my church's after school tutorial, tutoring kids with their homework. I'm currently taking an internship for Audio Production at the Bay Area Video Coalition. Every year, our friends at our church put together a song sharing concert called Allan and Friends (the t-shirt I wear in my entry video is from last year's concert). I want to win this contest because I want to make connections with other musicians on YouTube and in the Bay Area. I also want the prize so I can use it to buy recording gear. Money is not easy to come buy, especially if you're making music. I had a lot of fun creating my video. I love the song, and that made it easier to produce my entry! I hope you enjoy my production!
